One of the two menu cards for the 1956 Annual Dinner was given by Sue McLaren (2016), on behalf of her late husband, Sir Robin McLaren. His signature can be seen on the top right-hand corner of the card.

All remaining menu cards were given by F. P. White (see below).

Francis Puryer White (1893-1969) was admitted to St. John's College in 1912 to read Mathematics; graduated BA 1915, MA 1919. He was Fellow of St. John's College and Lecturer in Mathematics 1926-1961; Deputy Librarian 1939-1945, then Librarian 1948-1961.
