Francis Puryer White (1893-1969) was admitted to St. John's College in 1912 to read Mathematics; graduated BA 1915, MA 1919. He was Fellow of St. John's College and Lecturer in Mathematics 1926-1961; Deputy Librarian 1939-1945, then Librarian 1948-1961.
Reginald H. Ferrar was a student at St. John's College between 1942 and 1949.
