Archivist's note

The College's estate records were originally stored in a set of 101 wooden drawers in a tower above the Great Gate. Unfortunately, when they were listed in the 1970s the original order was not retained and the documents were merely assigned a drawer number and a document number.
Due to the complex nature of estate management and the size of the College's holdings it is impossible to re-create this original order; consequently, estate records have been organised according to property name or region.
