Papers relating to Samuel Butler's 'Darwin on the Origin of Species: A Philosophic Dialogue' (originally printed in the Press in 1862) and the subsequent responses to that article printed in The Press of Christchurch, New Zealand. Includes Henry Festing Jones's notes, correspondence and typescripts, which led to the reprinting of Butler's article in The Press in June 1912, and cuttings of the 1912 reprints; autograph letters from G.S.
