Typed transcript of a letter from Alexander H. Turnbull to Henry Festing Jones, dated 29 December 1912, thanking him for the prints of Butler's portrait and enclosing a typed copy of the pamphlet 'Literary Foundlings' (1864), said to contain essays by Butler and Mrs Pauli. The copy includes the pamphlet's title page, preface, contents and Butler's article; two sheets of handwritten notes by Henry Festing Jones are also attached.
