Discusses his transcription of a manuscript on 15th century Arabic history from the library of the India Office, his translation of it, his original idea to present it to the University as a tribute of gratitude for the honour of the degree conferred on him. Also notes the interest in it being published and his correspondence with various Cambridge Professors on the subject.
