Taking a three week vacation in Sri Lanka, she informs Crook of the long power cuts they endure daily. The monsoon rains have failed for the previous five years and since Sri Lanka runs largely on hydroelectric power, the cuts are inevitable.

Thanks Crook for his letter to Harvard. She has revised chapter 4 of her dissertation (to submit as an article to JRS) and is awaiting a printed copy of the entire manuscript. She is looking forward to Law School.
