Found the pictures on arriving in Paris this morning. They look lovely and fresh. A "mysterious element" has been brought out. Has an "early, strong, sentimental attachment" to the pictures as they are the first since their marriage. Beaton is much too generous. Would like to keep the ones in grey and order two more. Beaton may let whoever he chooses have the coloured ones. Thanks Beaton for giving them so much pleasure. Asks if all was in order for the party.
