Correspondence: Addingham tithes

Letters concerning the moiety [portion] of tithes at Addingham including the townships of Glassonby & Salkfeld, Cumbria recovered from Sir Daniel Fleming and leased by the College from the Dean and Chapter of Carlisle. The letters included articles of agreement for the underlease of the tithes and tithe barn by John Christopherson on behalf of the College. Individuals named in the letters include: Dr Richard Beryy [sic] & Dr Robert Lambert (College Bursars); John Armstrong (College attorney [?]); Thomas Robinson; Robert Drake (College agent).

Includes: copies of deeds, abstract of title & schedule relating to the estates of the Rev. John Poore in Murston, Bapchild, Kent.

Court papers: Ashwell

Surrender by Thomas Waller; torn bifolio containing statements (one partly torn off) and a portion of a pedigree / family tree. Had been tied together by a string pushed through rough holes in the papers; the string partly survives

Wills: Richard and Henry Raines

Containing: 1) copy of the will of Sir Richard Raynes (c.1636-1710), from the Register of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, dated 21 January 1709; 2) extract (undated) from the will of Henry Raines (c.1677-1734) the son of Richard Raines, from the Register of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury; signed "William Brocket of Christ's Hospital" on the reverse

Terriers: Burythorpe

Comprising: terrier of land at Burythorpe, Kennythorpe and Leavening signed by Francis Wright (12/08/1723); terrier of lands and tenements in Kennythorpe leased to Roger Wright (11/08/1740); terrier of College property at Kennythorpe, Burythorpe and Leavening (27/03/1790). A note at the bottom of this terrier indicates that 407 trees were cut off the estate in 1790 after the terrier was made.

Includes: deeds, extracts of wills, leases, conveyances, a feoffment and a mortgage for the messuage Danvaies or Denwaies in Bapchild, Loam Pit croft in Murston, 2 acres of pasture and 8 acres, 3 roods and 15 perches part of Homefield in Bapchild. Also includes conveyances of Swans Tree Hill, Sittingbourne.
