Letters written and received by Robert Forsyth Scott during his time as Master. Letters discuss both academic and domestic subjects including fellowships, College plate and electric lighting. The subject of each letter is written in the margin of volume. The first volume also includes a list of Burchley Preachers from 1898 to 1952 and a list of the date of births of the Master and Fellows of the College.

Includes manuscript entries for orders issued by the Master and Seniors concerning the domestic affairs of the College i.e. payments made to staff and servants, new appointments and financial regulations for students. Central section of the volume left largely blank.
Also includes in the back of the volume a manuscript list of the pictures in the Hall and Master's Lodge which have been cleaned and restored by Robert Trewick Bone in 1833-1834.
