The 2019 issue looks at the advances made by women in St John's including the College's first all-female a capella group, Aquila; an Annual Fund produced opera and work that bursary recipients have been doing relating to women's welfare.

Commemoration of Benefactors Service: names of benefactors

Lists of benefactors' names for the Senior Dean to read aloud during the annual service to commemorate the College's benefactors.
Reading lists and lists of changes, 2002-2022, transferred to the Archivist electronically and kept as digital files, but also printed out and added to this file.

2 volumes known as the Benefactorum Nomina or Names of Benefactors. The first volume begun in 1838 was initially compiled by William Keeling, Senior Dean, based on the list in SJGR/5/1/2 and other sources. It is marked by Keeling, "for the use of the Dean on Commemoration Days". The volume has approximately 40 pages of benefactors with a considerable amount of detail, all in Latin. Towards the end of the volume, in a later hand, there is a list which for the most part records names only, and it became customary for the Master add to the volume.
The second volume was begun in 2013 is added to every year by the current Master.
Octogenarian speeches (St John the Evangelist Day Dinner)

Speeches made by Fellows on reaching their 80th (and 90th) birthdays, made by invitation at the St John the Evangelist's Day Dinner. The Dinner in 2021 being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, octogenarian speeches were made at the Domus Day, January 2022. Speeches by:

Juniors' Feast Packs: Benefactors Weekend

The event did not take place during the Covid pandemic and in 2021 was replaced by a Finalists' Lunch and Finalists' Supper on 1 and 2 May (both on both days, with different people attending each of the four meals)
