Jeffreys was educated at Ashlea House School to 1912, Stimpson Avenue Elementary School 1912-1915, and in 1915 won a scholarship to Northampton School for Girls. She went up to Girton College Cambridge with a Clothworkers' Scholarship in 1921. For later material relating to the Northampton School for Girls see A198-A203.
