Has bought some good tobacco to furnish his father with. Is glad WC received the parcel sent from home and liked the cake his mother sent. Is pleased WC got a Sizar's place and an Exhibition and discusses the financial implications. Also notes the correspondence he has had with Dr Williams concerning Mrs Walton's Exhibition and his efforts to buy books asked for by WC. Offers advice on study methods and student life in general, including reading, sleeping and drinking. Discusses the purchase of various items for his rooms.
Also included is a brief message of goodwill from WC's grandfather
