Jamaican plantation correspondence

Eight letters sent from Jamaica to London, updating the wealthy estate-owner William Philp Perrin on the management of his sugar plantation. Topics covered include a dispute over ownership of an estate, sending supplies, preparations for shipping a cargo of sugar, negotiations over the purchase of further slaves, and details of weather likely to affect crops. Enclosures include two bills of lading, and a list of slaves purchased with their names, ages, occupations and values.
