Agreed to be appointed to Directorship of CO and keep Professorship only in accordance with wishes of Syndicate, and reserved the right to resign the Directorship if the workload of both posts proved too great. As there now appears to be some contest for the Directorship JCA wishes to withdraw his name from consideration.
