Handwritten letters, sometimes with accompanying envelopes, very occasionally containing pressed flowers, written to and from RHY and/or his wife. While much of the correspondence relates to personal and family matters, some professional correspondence is also present. The correspondence covers the period from RHY's acceptance at Cambridge University, through to condolences on his death.
One copy each has been retained of articles written by RHY and published in academic journals. Many of his articles include illustrations taken from photographs and drawings in the collections.
