Regrets he will not be able to attend 'St John's Day' as he has bronchitis. Has two interesting photographs, one of a Long Vacation cricket match between Dons and Undergraduates, and one of Sir Joseph Larmor coming out of St Paul's Cathedral virtually arm in arm with Arthur Balfour.

Gives thanks for a letter, and will send the photographs once he has found them. Asks if he is to be mentioned on St John's Day and sends his thanks if he is. Also mentions the traditional speech mentioning the many differences from when he first was a Fellow to the present. Suggests that they forego the celebrations and send food parcels to Universities in the British Zone in Germany instead.
