The papers include notebooks and papers on classical subjects, travelogues and diaries, card indexes, correspondence, miscellaneous papers, and photographs.

Diaries. Gives details of religious life in Edwardian Cambridge, especially with reference to Anglo-Catholicism. Includes letters to How and printed material regarding church matters.

The collection consists of his letters to his close friend, Cecily Mary Severne (nee Burdon-Muller) from 1930 to 1958, plus some miscellaneous papers.

The papers comprise Adams's correspondence, notes and diaries, correspondence after his death, transcripts of correspondence and papers made for Donald MacAlister, biographical and miscellaneous material.

The majority of this collection is by J. E. Marr. The papers relating to J. E. Marr are a collection of various items from his academic career and personal life. They contain: personal photo albums; photo albums of field trips; scrapbooks; geological pamphlets both by and sent to J. E. Marr; obituaries; sketches; and maps. The papers relating to F. A. Marr contain: photo albums, loose photos, and a file of correspondence and legal documents in relation to his parents' estates.

Material compiled by C. W. Phillips and Bromwich for 'The Fenland in Roman Times' (London, 1970). Includes a typescript draft of the book with original photographs and numerous notes concerning the material.
