Gives Sandy McAlister as an example of a great scholar. Referring to a previous conversation, advises Glover not to do anything rash 'this time' when he goes to Bristol.

Reports that Aleck Mursell remarked that it was just as well that Glover's father got his D.D. because it would not look well for Glover to be before him. Mentions an article in 'Christian World' that referred to Glover's Browne Medal and Porson Prize. Writes that he is going to Belgium in July because due to the McKinley Tariff trade at the Tin Plate works will be at a standstill.
