Victor H. Boger. Autograph letter signed to Beaton, from London.

Has just finished reading Beaton's book about Auntie Jessie. She was his Great Aunt as well as his God Mother. Remembers her telling him about the events Beaton describes in his book. Aunt Jessie asked him to keep some of the items that she and Redro Suaney (?) had collected on their travels. Will eventually hand them on to his son. Reminisces about Aunt Jessie. Thanks Beaton for the pleasure his book has given.

Boger, Victor H (fl 1973)

Victoria Ocampo. Typescript letter signed to Beaton, from Mar del Plata.

In French. Is sorry not to have been able to accompany Beaton to San Isidro to see the Son et Lumiere. Beaton's judgement matters to her. Explains the difference between the San Isidro and European Son et Lumiere shows. Thanks Beaton for his letter and hopes to meet him one day.

Ocampo, Victoria (1890-1979) writer, critic, publisher and intellectual

Violet Rutland. Autograph letter to Beaton.

Has never understood just what Beaton wants, and has received no reply to her request for Beaton to tell her. Discusses the possible place for a picture. Is lending him a reproduction. There is a new reproduction coming out quite soon.

Manners, Marion Margaret Violet (1856-1937) Duchess of Rutland

Viscountess Doris Castlerosse. Autograph letter signed to Beaton.

With two cuttings of photos of Beaton, Lady Castlerosse and others, one from 'The Tatler'. Thanks Beaton for his letter. Poor darling Cimmie [ie Lady Cynthia Mosley] died this afternoon. They have lost a 'divine friend'. Is glad Beaton is having a lovely trip in Rome. Thinks they all look very drunken in the enclosed pictures. The one of Beaton and Diana is 'divine'.

Castlerosse, Viscountess Doris (1901-1942)
