They include notes on the following subjects: Statics (Webb), Newton (Webb), Particle Dynamics (Webb), Rigid Dynamics (Webb), Hydrostatics (Webb), Planetary Theory (Darwin), Physical Optics, Geometrical Optics (Larmor, Webb), Mathematical Physics (Larmor), Astronomy (Webb).

Has examined the three papers submitted by MHAN in support of his Fellowship application. Is not able to give a definitive judgement on the papers as he is not an expert in the field, but, though he regrets 'that abstract logic has such an attraction for the writer', highly commends the papers as being by somebody who is a 'man of worldwide rank'. Recommends MHAN for a Fellowship.

In answer to Prof. Baker's questions, he describes in detail his war work in the Anti-Aircraft Experimental Section, Munitions Inventions Department. Gives a list of the members of the section, with Cambridge College where known. Also discusses a particular PhD student (unnamed) whose oral examination they will be conducting.
