Experiments with flowers

Nine assorted prints, in envelope labelled 'Prints of Daddy's experiments with flowers'. Only some of the photographs depict flowers. All but one of the prints corresponds to a glass plate negative, namely: F7; F20; F105; Sense 1; and unclassified 11. In some cases there is more than one copy printed.

Marram grass

Planting of marram grass to stop erosion by wind in dunes. Possibly taken at Scolt Head Island, Norfolk. (Note in one of RHY's children's hands, with question mark, on the small envelope in which these prints were originally stored.) These prints correspond to glass plate negatives G31-G37, which were unlabelled.

Cambridge Fens 1904

These prints were stored in a Kodak wallet labelled 'Cambridge Fens 1904'. The glass plate negatives are held for all but two of them. Although the wallet is labelled 1904, some of the negatives were dated July 1908. Prints have been assigned the same reference number as their corresponding negative, and the description from the negative envelope has been used, as none of the prints was labelled.
