Follows on from E6/4/17. Reports that for Christmas the prisoners have had Carols, the 'Messiah', a Band concert, a caberet, a pantomime and decorated their barracks. Briefly repeats the content of the his first card from the POW camp, as follows: 'captured Salerno 10th Sept, with all the boys'.

Reports that he has been busy playing and transcribing music, teaching Greek, cooking, planning a chambermusic concert and acting as everyone's confidant. Asks his parents not to send clothes but to send cigarettes, as they are currency in the POW camp. Mentions that he conducted 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik with a string octet. Refers to correspondence with Sissie. Asks them to tell Sister Gerard that he lost the medal with his identity disks and undertakes to tell the story when he returns home. Sends love to Mrs Rose, Mr Bussey, Francis and Wendy.

Refers to the funerals which he has attended.

Describes the cooking he has done with Dick Morgan, whom he praises. Send greetings to Mr Bussey and Mrs Rose.
