Bound volume, presented by Henry Festing Jones in 1928 and containing a detailed note by him, dated 26 October 1926, on the provenance of the volume. It formerly belonged to the art critic J[oseph] Beavington Atkinson (1822-86), whose annotations appear throughout. Samuel Butler never owned a copy of the book, but he refers to it in 'Ex Voto'.
