Letter to Beaton

Typescript letter concerning potential contractual agreements for the forthcoming year. Yoxall recalls that Beaton requested several months earlier whether they might postpone a final decision on an agreement until "a bit later in the summer", and asks whether they could meet soon to discuss arrangements.

Letter to Beaton

Typescript letter, concerning the renewal of "arrangements" and the use of material by the American edition of 'Harper's Bazaar'. Yoxall writes that 'Harper's Bazaar' cannot permitted to use Beaton's work if it has appeared in the British edition of 'Vogue' magazine, but that it is possible for a British artist to sell to American publishing rights to an American publisher - that is to say, Beaton could offer the publishing rights for specific material to the American magazine office, but not to its British counterpart.

Letter to Beaton

Typescript letter confirming that the arrangement between Beaton and Conde Nast will lapse forthwith, though Yoxall expresses hope that they may nevertheless approach Beaton occasionally to ask whether he would be willing to work on particular features. He writes that he feels "very fortunate to have [Beaton] in exclusive association […] for so long" and is consoled by the thought that their personal friendship need not be compromised by latest developments.
