Blue hardback notebook, divided into two sections. One section of the notebook contains notes for Beaton's 1954 lecture tour. The other section contains miscellaneous notes, some of which refers to the actress Greta Garbo (1905-1990).

Includes entries referring to Florence circa. February 1955; Miami, 1956; leaving New York, April 1956. Also contains material relating to Greta Garbo (1905-1990).

Includes typescript letters concerning the domestic situation at Reddish; orders for photographs of the Queen; 'My Fair Lady' (Broadway 1956; West End 1958); 'The Chalk Garden' (West End 1956); a visit to Ashcombe; Beaton's mother and sisters; the writer, Truman Capote (1924-1984); and the purchase of Beaton's articles by Crowell-Collier Publishing. Includes duplicate copies of some letters.

Also includes a typescript statement of account for costumes purchased in London by Beaton for 'Pygmalion' and two newspaper clippings, dated 19th and 25th December 1956, concerning the actress, Hermione Gingold (1897-1987), and a review of 'Eugenia' (adapted from Henry James' novel, 'The Europeans' (1878) and performed at the Shubert Theatre, New Haven). Also includes two signed postcards.
