T.L.s. to Brian Tunstall (William Cuthbert Brian Tunstall, matric. 1918)

Answers his enquiry of 2 May regarding the arms of St John's College and Christs's College, being those of their foundress, Lady Margaret Beaufort. Discusses the eagle and coronet in particular. The letter is accompanied by an envelope addressed to John Hall-Craggs (matric. 1953) with whom at this time Tunstall was co-editing volume 2 of the history of the Lady Margaret Boat Club.
