Explains that she omitted items at David Cairn's request, apart from Alison's break with Robert Hurd. Mentions the review's reference to Cranford. Explains why she could not write a lot about Elsa in 'So much love, so little money'. Believes she still has a way to go in the process of grieving for Alison.
