Reports that Mr Beaumont has presented him with the Wordsworth family almery. Thanks Gaskell for her part in the affair. Refers to Mr Brakenbridge's letter regarding arrangements for sending the almery. Mentions that he does not plan to go to London during the spring.

Thanks Gaskell for procuring a drawing of the Wordsworth family almery. Asks her to convey his thanks to the draughtsman. Wishes that Mr and Mrs Beaumont, the current owners of the almery, would look as kindly upon his desire to acquire the relic as Mr Brackenbridge. Requests that the drawing be sent with his daughter who is staying with Mr Marshall in Grosvenor Street. Refers to his part in the improvement of Miss Brandreth via his connections with Mr De Wint and Mrs Dewint.
