Part of Papers of John Anthony Crook
Worries as he has not heard from John for a while. Refers to John's birthday. Writes that there is no news from the village except that they all rush for the newspapers each morning for news of the Eighth and Fifth Armies. Mentions that his wife went into Maidstone to see 'Life and Death of Colonel Blimp' whilst he was at Dulwich College. Hopes that John still has his clarinets.
