Part of Papers of John Anthony Crook
Reports that he has just received three of John Crook's letters and is glad of the news. Assures John that he will be able to remember how to play the clarinet when he gets the chance. Mentions that they listened to the final prom on the radio but did not want to go to the Albert Hall without their son. Refers to Mrs Rose, Francis and Wendy's wedding and Mrs Rose's brother Mick, who was best man. Mentions that he does not know what the Home Guard are doing because he never sees them in uniform and Francis does not even have a gun yet. The letter is marked returned because addressee missing.
