Letter to Beaton

Typescript letter, concerning the renewal of "arrangements" and the use of material by the American edition of 'Harper's Bazaar'. Yoxall writes that 'Harper's Bazaar' cannot permitted to use Beaton's work if it has appeared in the British edition of 'Vogue' magazine, but that it is possible for a British artist to sell to American publishing rights to an American publisher - that is to say, Beaton could offer the publishing rights for specific material to the American magazine office, but not to its British counterpart.

Letter to Beaton

Typescript letter in response to Beaton's letter, dated 5th November. Yoxall writes that he sees nothing against Beaton's proposal in principle, but that Beaton should not expect priority for his work and must therefore consider the possibility of conflicting dates. The prices for use of the Studio have also risen, so Beaton should be aware that they may have to raise the charges given to him at some point. Yoxall concludes that he cannot commit fully until he has discussed it further with the Studio Manager.
