Requests permission to print three verses of Glover's hymn 'For men who heard their country's calling' in their service paper for dedication of a War Memorial. Explains that the hymn was sent to him by his son John MacCulloch Gaussen (1912). Congratulates Glover on his appointment to the office of Public Orator. Recalls being in J. E. Sandys rooms when he was writing his first oration.
