Contents of envelope so inscribed: letters to Bertha Blaxley, including some from Jeffreys. 'BB' is Bertha Blaxby, 'b' is Bertha Swirles. Folder J2 includes two newspaper cuttings on Jeffreys's 'Great distinction' as 'Northampton's 1st Lady Wrangler'.

Material re Bertha Blaxby (aunt)

Includes original certificate (1912). Blaxby received the LL.A. diploma from the University of St Andrews in 1912. This was a remote learning certificate somewhat analogous to an Open University degree.
