Copy of a letter to the master of St John's College, which intercedes on behalf of a Greek academic (Dr Michalopoulos) who was sacked from his position as director of the Museum of the City of Athens, for comments relating to the Elgin Marbles. He enquires as to whether the Fellowship of the University might demonstrate an interest in his case.

Thanks Crook for allowing him the use of the flat between 6-9 July. Confirms that the King's College choir is visiting. He mentions that his sole surviving aunt (of Norwich) died on the 13th April.

He trusts that his procrastination has not inconvenienced the occupancy of the flat, by others or by Crook himself. He mentions that he does remember Peter Boggis. He sang with him in the Cantilena Singers.

Mentions to Crook that his state pension has become 'snarled up in the works'. Consequently he will not be in the UK until 2004.

Reports that he is now in receipt of a Greek pension and a golden handshake from the Hellenic navy. He shall be visiting Cambridge in July, having submitted a housing need application to Cambridge City Council.

Advises of his flight arrival into Heathrow on July 15th. He asks him to pass on the information to Richard and Nancy Perham.

Apologises to Crook for not speaking directly with him about the Michelopoulos matter. Mentions a possible visit of the King's College choir to Greece in June.

Note to Crook to inform him he will not be visiting 'Albion' this summer. He sends his commiserations vis a vis the 'foot and mouth holocaust'.

Note to Crook informing him that he will be flying to England to visit the London Hammersmith hospital for checks on his abdomen.

Notes that after a lengthy sojourn in London he is now awaiting day care attention in the London Clinic. He still has no pension despite giving the power of attorney to the British Embassy. He was able to celebrate his 66th birthday 'en famille'.
