Informs FH that his Title C fellowship of the college terminated on the date of his resignation from the Plumian Chair, 31 Dec. 1972. Thanks him for all he has done for the college during his time as fellow, and invites him to come back 'from time to time and enjoy the privileges accorded to former Fellows'.

Thanks FH for his sketch ideas for the "linear building". Will try to get some particulars about prefabricated buildings such as one that FH has already seen. Has arranged a meeting with the Manager of a construction firm making 'dry' buildings with short construction times. Is not too keen on panelling of the walls and ceiling in the same material; boarding is not good for sounds-proofing and would make the inter-office walls more complicated. Will send elevations and plans as soon as he has them.
