Another copy of 16/20/2. Appreciation of CD's explanation of discrepancy between value of secular acceleration of moon's mean motion, and that derived from ancient eclipses. Likely to be attacked by Pontecoulant.

See 16/19/3 for another copy. Authorisation for CD to publish JCA's expression of coefficient of principal term of the latitude [of the moon?]. Adds equation for principal inequality of the true latitude, and comparisons with Plana and Pontecoulant's results.

Thinking of sending four different methods of calculation of same for inclusion in Nautical Almanac. Pontecoulant unlikely to be persuaded of JCA's and CD's method. LeVerrier likely to come to unpleasant discovery of the truth.
