A signed draft copy of Lady Margaret’s will, annotated with additions and corrections in various hands. It includes a list of her particular benefactions to ‘Cristes College’ and ‘to my lord Prince’ which has been altered to read ‘the kinges grace’. Also includes a paper about the purchase of Bassingbourne in Fordham, Cambridgeshire inserted at front.

C Stanke (fishmonger) : Barway

Includes: notes of the boundaries of the land and fishing rights at Barway bought by the College from Christopher Stanke[s], fishmonger. Also includes an indenture of bargain and sale by Christopher Stanke[s], for land at Barway with water and fishing known as Beche, from bushoploode to Bradforth Were (sic) which Stanke[e] purchased from Thomas Barton dated 4 Feb 1524/5.

College Farm report: Barway

A report sent to the President of the College on the College's farm at Barway, with recommendations as to the repairs and a statement that the last tenant had neglected to plant the 30 willow trees yearly which he ought to have by his lease. The document is signed with the marks of 4 men: William Longe, Tho[m]as Lambert, Roger Burridg and Thomas Paggett.
